(Rinse and inspect the beans before use.)
Soak the beans overnight or for a few hours before cooking
as this reduces the cooking time.
1. Place beans in pot and add enough water to cover them by 1 inch.
2. Bring to a boil. Add seasoning if desired (spices, bay leaf, stock, etc.).
3. Boil beans on high heat until cooked (about 45 minutes).
The cooking time depends on the size and the age of the beans.
Add salt only at the end.
