4 low-calorie summer drinks (by Jimmy Sévigny)

Since summer is synonymous with fun, here are 4 low-calorie summer beverage recipes to enjoy guilt-free during the hot season!

Alcohol-free Sangria

- 2 cups (500 ml) diced seasonal fruits: cherries, limes, oranges, peaches, mangos, etc.

- 1 bottle (500 ml) Avril’s home brand naturallyorganic “ENERGY BOOST” kombucha

- 1 cup (250 ml) 100% pure passion fruit juice

- 1 litre (1000 ml) carbonated water

- 2 cups (500 ml) ice cubes

- Mint leaves

Mix all of the ingredients together

Number of servings: 10 x 250 ml

Number of calories per serving: 48

 

Alcohol-free Strawberry Daiquiri

- 2 cups (500 ml) fresh strawberries

- 1 cup (250 ml) sparkling water

- 2 tbsp. (30 ml) cane sugar

- 2 tbsp. (30 ml) lime juice

- 1 cup (250 ml) ice cubes

In a blender, mix all ingredients until a homogeneous texture is obtained.

Number of servings: 2

Number of calories per serving: 93

 

Ginger ale

- 1 cup (250 ml) cold soda water

- 2 tbsp. (30 ml) lemon juice

- 1 tsp. (5 ml) finely grated fresh ginger

- 1 tsp. tea (5 ml) honey

Mix all of ingredients together.

Number of servings: 1

Number of calories per serving: 77

 

Sports drink with electrolytes

- 3 cups (750 ml) water

- 1 cup (250 ml) freshly squeezed orange juice (or any fruit juice)

- 2 tbsp. (30 ml) maple syrup

- 1 tsp. (5 ml) salt

Mix all ingredients together.

Number of servings: 2 x 500 ml
